EMF Pollution

April 26, 2012 |  by  |  Health News, Subtle Energy  |  No Comments

In the last ten years alone, the number of cell phone users worldwide has increased to over 300,000,000. This number continues to grow as their availability increases and the use of land-lines diminishes. While the popularity of cellular devices cannot be denied, there are many scientists that question the effects of electromagnetic frequencies on the human brain. Less than two decades ago, our exposure to EMF pollution was but a fraction of what we experience today. Our children’s generation will be the first to live their entire lives exposed to the levels of electromagnetic radiation that circumvent the Earth, and the rate at which these man-made signals multiply shows no signs of slowing. And although we can never be certain what the future holds, being conscientious about the world around us is as important as ever.

Meditation as an Energy Tool

November 24, 2011 |  by  |  Health News  |  No Comments

There are all kinds of things that can influence your energy levels from chronic stress, to out of control emotions, and external factors such as electromagnetic radiation – just to name a few. But, there are also things you can do about it. Sometimes, if you find yourself chronically low on energy it helps to take a serious look at lifestyle changes you could make. One of the biggest problems for a lot of people is that they feel powerless to change their circumstances. This leads to frustration and greater stress.

There are “energy tools” that can help with this situation and strategies you can use to help you take control of your life. Meditation helps a lot of people to deal with stress. It is both a tool and a strategy because it involves a long term commitment if you want to reap its full benefits. But the commitment itself can be the first step in taking control of your life. The practice of meditation just means taking a step back from your everyday life and giving yourself a little time to be still, in mind and body – it takes practice but the practice itself is the first reward!

Energetic Healing – What are We Talking About?

October 31, 2011 |  by  |  Health News  |  No Comments

When we talk about energetic healing we do not mean healing…with a lot of vigor! What we mean is using some form of energy to heal. Since science is not yet able to measure and quantify forms of energy other than electromagnetic energy, things can easily get a little vague when you’re talking about energetic healing. Nevertheless, people have been working with these “other energies” for millennia. It has only become such a “naming” problem with the advent of modern science – because now some things can be quantified and measured – even if those things amount to only 4% of all that is!

There is really not a lot of doubt about the efficacy of energetic healing. Whether you believe in it or not it can be very helpful – especially if you are the one who has been healed! Techniques such as ‘Therapeutic Touch’, which is now being taught in colleges and used in hospitals nationwide, are based on the assumption that human beings are complex fields of energy. The ability to move this energy to promote healing is a skill that can be taught and learned, not some mystical gift possessed by a lucky few!

Study: Current Certification Processes Inadequate to Measure EMF Effects of Cell Phones on Children

October 17, 2011 |  by  |  Health News  |  No Comments

A report published today on the online in the journal Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine states that the current cell phone certification process is inadequate to protect children and small adults. According to the report the existing certification process greatly underestimates the quantity and effects of electromagnetic frequency radiation delivered by many cell phones to users, especially children.

A much superior computer simulation certification process has been approved by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) but is currently not employed to certify cell phones.

The study states that “When electrical properties are considered, a child’s head’s absorption can be over two times greater, and absorption of the skull’s bone marrow can be ten times greater than adults. Therefore, a new certification process is needed that incorporates different modes of use, head sizes, and tissue properties”.

EMF Pollution and What it Means to You

October 14, 2011 |  by  |  Health News  |  No Comments

Electromagnetic radiation is everywhere these days. Our modern society is entirely dependent not only on all the electronic devices we use directly, but on the vast network of transmission technologies that make it all possible. This includes everything from high voltage power lines and microwave towers to the electrical wiring in our houses that deliver electricity for our daily use.

A lot of people are wondering whether the electronic haze generated by all of this is as safe as we are assured it is. There is not a lot of information out there about what this incredible bombardment of EMF pollution might mean to our health in the long run and it is currently a subject of very heated debate.

Our body’s nervous system is an elegant and extremely complex electrical system. You have to wonder what affect the alien frequencies of electromagnetic radiation in our environment might have on this delicate system.
